SUS302 is the standard type of 18Cr-8Ni steel. SUS303 and SUS304 are both improved stainless steels based on SUS302. The addition of nickel (Ni) enhances corrosion resistance and mechanical properties.
SUS304
SUS304L is an improved version of SUS302, with a lower carbon content and excellent corrosion resistance and weldability. It is the most standard austenitic stainless steel.
SUS304L has a lower carbon content than SUS304, improving its intergranular corrosion resistance and weldability.
SUS310S, with the addition of nickel and chromium, offers excellent corrosion resistance and acid resistance, as well as excellent temperature characteristics, making it suitable for use as a heat-resistant steel.
Cold rolling suppresses work hardening and weakens its magnetism, making it suitable for use as a low-work-hardening steel or non-magnetic steel. SUS316
SUS316L, with the addition of molybdenum (Mo), exhibits excellent corrosion resistance (pitting) and acid resistance, as well as high high-temperature strength, making it suitable for use as a heat-resistant steel.
SUS316L has a lower carbon content than SUS316, improving intergranular corrosion resistance and weldability.
SUSXM7 is a stainless steel made by adding copper to SUS304 to suppress work hardening during cold rolling.
SUS430 is a standard type of 18Cr steel, offering excellent cold rolling workability and corrosion resistance. Its low price makes it widely used in various applications.
SUS434 is a stainless steel made by adding molybdenum to SUS430 to improve corrosion resistance.
SUS410 is a representative martensitic stainless steel. It exhibits excellent mechanical properties and corrosion resistance after heat treatment.
SUS403 is a stainless steel made by narrowing the silicon and chromium content range to enhance corrosion resistance and improve toughness after heat treatment. It is used in valves, pump shafts, cutting tools, bolts, nuts, steam turbine blades, jet engine parts, and more. SUS416 improves the machinability of 13Cr steel by adding sulfur and phosphorus. Its corrosion resistance is slightly lower than the standard type.

SUS431 improves toughness by adding nickel and corrosion resistance by adding chromium. It offers the best corrosion resistance among heat-treatable martensitic grades. It is used in papermaking machines, ship shafts, and aircraft parts.

SUS440C has the highest hardness among stainless steels and excellent wear resistance. It is used in dies and ball bearings.

SUS631J1 is a precipitation-hardening stainless steel with the best heat resistance among JIS steels. It is used for thin plates and wire springs.
