Stainless steel round bars have a wide range of applications.
Main application areas:
Mechanical manufacturing: Manufacturing of shafts, gears, bolts, nuts, molds, and other mechanical parts and automotive components.
Construction and decoration: Railings, interior piping, cabinets, handrails, etc., especially 304 stainless steel bright bars, used for interior decoration.
Food and chemical industries: Tableware, cookware, boilers, food processing equipment, chemical equipment. Due to its corrosion resistance, 316L stainless steel is particularly suitable for marine and harsh chemical environments.
Medical field: Surgical instruments, medical equipment, etc.
Energy and aerospace: Boilers, nuclear power, aerospace, military industries, etc.
Classification by surface and type:
Bright bar (polished round bar): Smooth surface, finely finished, often used in applications requiring high aesthetics and precision.
Black bar: Surface oxide layer is not treated after hot rolling or forging, resulting in a rougher surface, mostly used for machining.
Uses of specific grades:
304/304L: General-purpose, good corrosion resistance, easy to process, used in tableware, home appliances, etc.
316/316L: Contains molybdenum, superior corrosion resistance (especially pitting corrosion resistance) compared to 304, used in medical devices, chemical industry, and coastal facilities.
303: Contains sulfur, easy to machine, used for making easily processed parts.
410/420: Martensitic stainless steel, high strength, wear-resistant, used for tools.
