- 12Cr18Ni10Ti is an austenitic stainless steel stabilised with titanium, primarily employed for components subjected to demanding conditions in aerospace, energy, and chemical industries. It exhibits outstanding resistance to intergranular corrosion and high-temperature stability, coupled with favourable mechanical properties and weldability.
Furthermore, 12Cr18Ni10Ti is suitable for pressure-bearing components operating within the temperature range of -196°C to 600°C, as well as equipment exposed to corrosive media such as dilute nitric acid and acetic acid. Although its tendency towards work hardening is pronounced, limiting its application in standard decorative fields, this stainless steel exhibits exceptional resistance to high-temperature oxidation and chloride ion corrosion. - 12Cr18Ni10Ti stainless steel plates and tubes can withstand short-term exposure to temperatures up to 800°C, making them an ideal choice for critical components such as aircraft engine exhaust ducts and power station boiler drums.
